Kiddie Country’s Jeff B. found himself a mere 35 feet short of third base when he realized he made the wrong decision to stretch a soft double into an impossible triple. “I’m surprised he got to second to be honest,” commented a bewildered fan who asked to remain anonymous (though his last name is the same as a US president.) Jeff, a strong candidate for Don Beebe’s House of Speed training course, was strongly influenced by poor coaching at first and third base. Both coaches were actually yelling, “HOME!! TAKE HOME!!” despite the historically daunting odds of turning an infield dribbler into a home run play.
