In this video we see the iconic Anna Kournikova during a World Team Tennis matchup in Washington, DC on July 23, 2008. Kournikova played for the visiting St Louis Aces as they took on the hometown Washington Kastles. Among the more interesting stories was the meeting of Kournikova with Justin Gimelstob. Gimelstob recently had choice words for her during a radio interview on local WJFK broadcast show The Junkies. Kournikova displayed her displeasure for him on a number of occasions during the match including serving to him underhand as seen in the video above. Anna Kournikova song by Binge.
Here is Mango making a box turn at 300fps during a flyball tournament. This would be perfect turn if he didn’t recognize me halfway through. This caused him to stop and come over to me, ruining the run for his entire F.B.I. team.
Between the 7 goal plastering of Nutcracker’s goalie Dave Madison, he did manage to save 4 shots. We’ve put them together for you, above, to enjoy. In his defense, however, he really didn’t have any. Don’t miss the Nutcrackers during their tour of Northern Virginia rec centers in the coming months.
Often times “life is a game of inches,” but not on this day. Kiddie Country’s Jeff B. found himself a mere 35 feet short of third base when he realized he made the wrong decision to stretch a soft double into an impossible triple. “I’m surprised he got to second to be honest,” commented a bewildered fan who asked to remain anonymous (though his last name is the same as a US president.) Jeff, a strong candidate for Don Beebe’s House of Speed training course, was strongly influenced by poor coaching at first and third base. Both coaches were actually yelling, “HOME!! TAKE HOME!!” despite the historically daunting odds of turning an infield dribbler into a home run play.
Looking for a good meal at a cheap price? Head out to a Kiddie Country softball game where Mikeo routinely serves up juicy meatballs for all to enjoy. The only imperfection in his delectable sandwiches is the sogginess caused by a light rain.
Mikeo, proud owner of a rare Samsung Gas Grill, is shown above clearly wearing down after 8 innings of rigorous pitching. Occasionally accused of throwing a nasty knuckler*, he was nothing but a hungry hippo on this afternoon.
* no video evidence of such a pitch has been recorded.
At every Washington Capitals game during the 2007-2008 season, you would hear Al Pacino stating ”life’s a game of inches” as told during his film ‘Any Given Sunday.’ This certainly proved true for the team during the playoff series vs the Philadelphia Flyers. In the end, they would find themselves a few inches short.
Down 2-0 after the first period in game two of the series, Alexander Semin would find himself with a golden opportunity to make it a one goal game. He would not convert, and the Caps would not score for the remainder of the game.
300FPS video of strikes taken at the AMF Bowling center in Annandale, VA. The lighting in the bowling alley made it difficult to capture the strikes - and above 300FPS was virtually impossible.
The strikes were made using Ebonite bowling equipment and bowled by Disco and Mikeo of 7-10 split fame. The duo are a part of the SSBL bowling league’s Messengers team. This brilliant team recently lost three straight games to blow a first place finish in the league standings.
Shown above is the disasterous “Hawk” R/C Electornic Helicopter. As far as I can tell, the actual manufacturer name is “Pheoni.” It is somewhat difficult to tell for sure, and given the actual performance of the product, I have a feeling I know why.
To begin, the reason you are seeing the helicopter fly just inches off the ground…is because that’s as high as I could get it to fly. This might be a result of the battery damages caused when it began to light itself on fire. THAT small problem was a result of the cheap plastic casing falling of the battery leads which allowed to the wires to cross. Instantly, the battery began to bubble and I was sure it was actually going to explode. At the time I was touching the battery and it literally burned my skin as though I was touching an iron.
Charging the battery is a bit challenging in its own right. The instructions state, and I QUOTE: “You can choose the different plugs to charge the batteries. But the charging time is neither too long nor too shirt. When the time is too long, the batteries will too hot and it will damage the batteries.”
It’s possible I’m suffering from a case of the batteries too hot. Another classic line from the manual is the disclaimer on the cover itself. It boldly states “You cannot copy the parts of the instructions in any ways if you are not allowed by us.” IF you are not allowed by us it says…why the tease? Why not just come out and say whether or not it is allowed?
Again, this video was taken with a Casio EX-F1 at 600fps. I scaled back the frame rate to try and give a representation of the iterations between full speed and 600fps. This video was shot in Arlington, Virginia on April 13, 2008.
